My name is Asta and I live with my family in Cape Town, South Africa.

In our modern lives, we all have many responsibilities and pressures. Whilst we love living in South Africa, it can at times be a stressful place to live in and raise a young family. There are hidden stressors that are ever present, meaning that most of us live in a permanent state of heightened awareness and vigilance, which takes its toll on the mind and body. Increases in anxiety and stress are to be expected throughout our lives, but can lead to a host of issues with one’s health and well-being, including insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks, chronic pain and other inflammatory conditions. After researching the benefits of CBD, I created the Cannisol™ brand with the idea that there had to be better, safer and more natural alternative to prescription medication to treat these conditions.

Having a background as a nursing sister and being somewhat of a perfectionist, I wanted to develop a CBD health supplement that is pure, natural, effective and offers a precise dosage. A product made to the highest pharmaceutical standards, with each batch tested in a laboratory environment to ensure purity and quality, free of additives or allergens. Many of the CBD products currently available in South Africa are not compliant with health regulations and some even contain THC, the chemical that creates the 'high' commonly associated with cannabis. I also found that CBD oils can have an unpleasant taste and do not offer a precise dosage. These are just some of the reasons why I decided to formulate a zero-THC, vegan-friendly CBD supplement that can easily be taken with a meal and a glass of water.
